What brings you to the green product design network?
I have been passionate about environmental and social justice issues my entire adult life and tend to gravitate to new and innovate ideas and organizations. I am excited that GPDN can be a beacon for its interdisciplinary approach to solving some of the world’s toughest design challenges. It is imperative that we begin creating sustainable "green" products to replace the toxic materials currently used.
What kinds of expertise can you bring to the community?
I have a background in environmental studies and communication. I have worked on several environmental campaigns including, climate change work, sustainability festivals, and eco-workshops. I have experience with, social media, event planning, working with the media, and writing extensively on environmental issues.
What is your current affiliation?
I am currently interning for the GPDN working mostly on internal communication. I am a senior at the University of Oregon wrapping up my Journalism (public relations concentration) and my Environmental Studies degrees.
